Pacific Palisades truly stands apart from the rest of Los Angeles. Located on the bluffs where Sunset Boulevard meets the ocean, this most desirable community is nestled between the Santa Monica Mountains and the beach. It has a small town feeling with a thriving business district known as “the Village”, with tree lined streets, outdoor café’s, and all the business services you would expect in a much larger city. The fourth of July is still celebrated with an old fashioned parade followed by a spectacular fireworks show at sunset at the local high school (Pali High).

The community itself has a population of approximately 22,000 residents with home prices ranging from approximately $600,000 to estate prices of $6 million. Condominium prices run from $375,000 to $850,000. Every neighborhood, whether it be in the small cozy homes of the alphabet streets behind the Village, or the large gated estates of the Riviera, are within a 10 minute drive to the white sands of Will Rogers State Beach. The Palisades is home to many literary, film and T.V. personalities and offers all its residents access to numerous hiking trails, glorious parks, and breathtaking views. The Pacific Palisades schools are designated charter schools by the state of California. As charters, they have autonomy over their budget and curriculum, and have strong parental involvement. The success of their charter status has resulted in a resurgence of interest in public school attendance as more and more young families choose the Palisades as their home. Rozanne and Roe have raised their families in this community, and are well versed in its various neighborhoods and their historical values.

Pacific Palisades lies just North of Santa Monica and South of Malibu and is surrounded by six major canyons. The Palisades enjoys clean air, with mean summer temperatures of 70 degrees, and mean winter temperatures of 56 degrees. One can easily plan outdoor events throughout most of the year. Grab you hiking boots, surfboard, and sunscreen!
